Our core message is one of accomplishment. The initiatives we have undertaken during the past five years provide the foundation for further growth and development within the city. Our partnerships with both for-profit and non profit organizations mean increased support and investment in targeted neighborhoods. These initiatives often leverage private capital that improves local economic conditions. We know that homeownership is one of the best ways to empower people because it gives them a stake in their neighborhood. Through our development of affordable homes, and repair of occupied houses, we are transforming neighborhoods with more than bricks and mortar. Our mix of homebuyer income levels in the Cecil B. Moore Townhomes Development, for example, promotes a diverse and revitalized community. We enable residents to stay committed to their community. The ensuing neighborhood stability improves physical conditions and increases property values. PHDC is creating viable communities.
